Brandon and I do a lot of reading out loud together. It is fun to experience the books together and have someone to talk about them with. We have read a lot of books out loud: All of the Harry Potters, The DaVinci Code, The Kingdom and the Crown series, The Goal (a fiction book about process improvement) The 5 Love Languages, and others. We are reading The Fire of the Covenant right now. Anyway, we have read a lot of good books, but we have FINALLY finished some of the most important books together: the Triple Combination. Reading at the average of about 1 chapter (or less) per night, this has been no quick task. But it has definitely been worthwhile. Reading the Book of Mormon, D&C, and Pearl of Great Price has brought the Spirit into our home like few other books can. It amazes me that as grouchy as we can sometimes be before we start reading, we are usually a bit happier and closer and more focused on what's important when we are finished. I am so grateful that we have these books, and I know that these small daily doses have really helped us grow closer in our marriage and become better people, even if we didn't notice it every time we read.I know that we keep posting house pictures, but... well, I guess we don't have a lot other than that going on. We painted the rest of our entryway a little while ago, but I still haven't decided if I love it or not. We wanted it to contrast a bit, but is it too contrasting? When we were painting this part, the paint actually looked like melted chocolate. I resisted the temptation to eat it though. Now it still kind of looks like chocolate (not melted, though).
